Students who complete the English preparatory program at the end of the Fall Semester have two options:
- You can start department courses in the Spring Semester. Calculus II and Computer Programming courses are continuation courses from the Fall Semester. There is no harm in taking courses other than these courses. If you have previous computer programming experience, you can also take the Computer Programming course. There have been those who took Calculus II and passed in a similar situation. You can also plan to take a couple of missing courses in the summer school. (Don't pay attention to names like "irregular student." It is also possible to start taking the department courses in the Fall semester and become "irregular" by failing all or most of the courses.)
- You can take "academic leave" for the Spring Semester. There are those who call this process "dondurma"(ice cream) even though it does not contain milk, cream or sugar... For academic leave, you must apply to the Dean of the Faculty and request permission and your request must be approved. No one has been denied approval so far, and your application will be approved. You can use the petition sample for the application. Please send your completed, signed and evidenced petition to the Dean's Office via e-mail to the Department Head's address eee@ogu.edu.tr . Completing the petition on the computer will reduce possible errors.
